Floye E. Cochnauer Holt passed away July 13, 2008, in Oklahoma City. She was born on May 20, 1916, to original enrollees David William and Rhoda Robinson Cochnauer in Bokchito.

Floye was married to Charles Franklin J. Holt Jr. on March 7, 1941. She was a beauty operator until her retirement; however, she never quit working to help others. She was a faithful member of Wilshire Church of Christ in Oklahoma City where she helped quilt to raise scholarship funds for college students. Floye, an accomplished seamstress and quilter, designed, embroidered and hand quilted the Seals of the Five Civilized Tribes for a quilt that she donated to the Oklahoma Historical Society in Oklahoma City.

Floye was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; five brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, including the family of Robert and Mary Cochnauer of Oklahoma City.
