Services have been held for May Jane Gipson, who died January 11, 1991, at Carl Albert Indian Hospital in Ada. Mrs. Gipson was born August 15, 1915 in Bentley, Oklahoma, the daughter of Bob and Nannie Wilson Barcus. She was married to Willie S. Gipson, who preceded her in death on May 8, 1987. Survivors included two sons; Nehemiah Gipson of Atoka and Jeremiah LeFlore of Howe, TX; a step-son, Roger Gipson of Chicago, IL; a sister, Lena King of McAlester; and four grandsons; Steven Onssi Gipson of Atoka, Charles LeFlore of Howe, Lawrence Dale LeFlore of Ada and Roger J Gipson of Chicago. Besides her husband, Willie, she was preceded in death by two brothers; John E. Barcus and Jessie Betsey; three sisters; Agnes Wallace, Ida LeFlore and Mattie Wilson. Pallbearers were Jimmie R. Scott, Nathan Scott, Calvin K LeFlore, Lerou John, Carl Loudermilk and Larry Peters. Burial was in Bentley Indian Cemetery with Rev Joseph Jim officiating services at Macedonia Missionary Church.
