Alfred Allen Goforth, 70, passed away August 28, 1999 in Davis, Oklahoma. He was born June 22, 1929 in Sulphur, Oklahoma to Andrew and Celia Cox Goforth.

A retired Army veteran, he served during the Korean War. He was a prisoner of war for 32 months while in Korea.

He was preceded in death by two sisters, Sylvia Chronister and Norma June Kirk.

Survivors include his wife, Linda; two daughters, Jennifer James and Tammy Epperly, and one grandson, Jason, all of Oklahoma City; seven sisters, Lorene Randall and Frankie Church, both of Lexinton, Oklahoma, Jean Chambers of Ore City, Texas, Marie Lynch of Eunice, New Mexico, Virginia Batson of Ardmore, Oklahoma, and Helen Goforth and Ellen Greene, both of Roff, Oklahoma.
