Bill Eeds, 80, of Apache, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, August 26, 2001. He was born January 4, 1921 in Durant, Oklahoma. He married Donna Warner on February 3, 1946 in Apache.

Mr. Eeds served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and flew 30 missions in the European Theater. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters and the Good Conduct Medal.

He was employed by Southern Airways as a helicopter mechanic and supervisor until he retired in 1977, when he moved to Apache from Mineral Wells, Texas. He was a member of the First Christian Church of Apache. He was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife of the home; three daughters, Sherry Robertson of Okmulgee; DeeDee Maynard of Eastland, Texas; Gail Martinson of Lawton, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and a brother, Gene Eeds of Ardmore.
