Thad Morland Costilow was born on November 13, 1911 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and resided in Kern County for 63 years.

He was employed as a custodian bus driver for Rosedale Elementary School for 25 years. He served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II and was discharged as a Medical Staff Sergeant. He was a 41 year member of Niles Assembly of God Church where he was church secretary and a member of the Board of Deacons for many years.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Bill and Elijah and sister Lena Touchstone.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Lorene; brother, Henry Costilow and his wife, Rexlee; sister in law Lois Ferrell and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
