Ladascode Lou Collins Crane, 62, a former Idabel resident, passed away October 6, 2008, at Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born January 9, 1946, in Talihina, Oklahoma.

Lou was raised in the Kulli Community and graduated from Haworth High School and then attended Haskell University where she studied nursing. She joined the Air Force, where she met her first husband and father of her son. She was honorably discharged in 1969 and moved to New York City where she lived several years. Lou recently moved back to Idabel for a time before moving to Baltimore, Maryland, with her son. She was a nurse and enjoyed reading, traveling and going to the casino.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Minerva Collins Byrum, and her husband, William Crane.

Lou is survived by her son, Alfred Medina, and his fiancÈ, Rena, Baltimore, Maryland; granddaughter, Cheyanne Medina of Baltimore; sisters and brothers-in-law, Juanita Jane Williams of Healdton, Suzie and Tommy Chesney of Wright City, Ruth Treece of Murfreesboro, Arkansas, and Amabel and Frank Tidmore of Wright City; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
