Kerry Martin Carnes, 65, of Houston, Texas, passed away May 16, 2007, in Tomball, Texas. He was born on February 16, 1942, in Houston, Texas, to Tracy and Hellen Hickman Carnes.

Mr. Carnes graduated from San Jacinto High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Fort Huachuca, Arizona. He was retired from Emery Worldwide Freight Services. He married Merry Fexer in 1967. He was a member of the Houston Farm and Ranch Club and served as a committeeman for the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Sandra Carnes.

Survivors include his daughters, Amy Carnes Lott and husband Dallas of La Porte, Texas, and Keri Carnes Ellison and husband Greg of Magnolia, Texas; grandson, Dallas Greyson Lott of La Porte; step-granddaughter, Alyssa Ellison of Magnolia; his mother, Hellen Hickman of Hugo; brother, Ken Carnes of Houston; sisters, Karol Carnes of Hugo and Kelleyne Mackey of Houston; one nephew; two-grandnephews and one grandniece; and former wife, Merry Carnes of Houston.
