James Winston Campbell, 68, of Loco, Oklahoma passed away Monday, May 1, 2000 in a Lawton, Oklahoma hospital after a long illness. He was born April 10, 1932 in Duncan, Oklahoma to Bennie and Bessie Campbell. He and Lota Ann Sutton were married May 20, 1950 at Mountain Grove, Oklahoma by the Rev. Ted Sutton and made their home in Duncan.

Mr.Campbell was a member of the Elk Avenue Church of Christ in Duncan.

He was a Mason and a member of the Masonic Lodge at Loco.

Winston was formerly employed by Amerada Petroleum Corp., then was a barber in Duncan for 23 years. Winston and Ann Moved to Loco in 1977 and have owned the Loco Store for the last 18 years.

He was an avid fisherman and hunter and also enjoyed bowling and trap shooting. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Lyndell Ray; a sister, Rudine, and a brother, Wesley.

Survivors include his wife; daughter and son-in-law, Bobbie and Rick Rodgers of Duncan; two grandchildren, Matthew Rogers and Allyson Rogers of Duncan; sister, Jean Adcox of Bethany, Oklahoma; several nieces and nephews, and special friends Bill and Barbra Armitstead of Arlington, Texas and Jim and Mia Martin of Round Rock, Texas.
