Haskell Cooper Christy, 62, passed away March 16, 2005. He was born March 29, 1942, in Stigler, Oklahoma, to Adam and Eliza Jackson Christy.

He enjoyed fishing, golfing, and irritating his nieces and nephews, who figured out he only did it because he loved them. His greatest joy and aggravation came from watching his beloved Oklahoma Sooners play football. It was like watching a jack-in-the-box; he was up and down in his favorite chair so many times during a close game.

He worked in the grocery retail business for 35 years and retired in September of 2004 to take care of his animals and work outside which he loved to do so well.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Adam Christy Jr. and Gilmore Christy.

Survivors include his loving wife, Viola, of the home at Hungry Mountain; five sisters, Launa Medlock, Delores Holloway and Amelia Steen and husband, Jimmy, of Stigler, Aglae Lawson and husband, Marvin, of Jay, Oklahoma, and Sandra Leonard of Pittsburg, Kansas; a host of nieces and nephews who loved him and will miss him.
