Eva Jane Clay, 58, a longtime Atoka resident, passed away February 24, 2006, at the Jackson County Hospital in Altus. She was born July 14, 1947, in Atoka to Julius and Velma Ree Hanson Clay.

She attended school in Atoka and was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother-in-law, Larry Brookshire.

Survivors include three brothers, Carl Clay and wife, Linda, of Atoka, Fred Clay and wife, Beverly, of Warrenton, Missouri, and Calvin Clay of Sherman, Texas; three sisters, Helen Shea and husband, Daniel, of Tulsa, Katherine Brookshire of Sherman, Texas, and Wilda Folsum and husband, Richard, of Duncan; aunts, Josephine Newkirk of Stringtown, Vonda Collum of Atoka, and Frances Garside and husband, Ralph, of Twin Falls, Idaho, along with numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and many very dear and loved friends.
