Ellis Lee Cooper, 70, of Savanna passed away November 13, 2008, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born October 13, 1938 in Tamaha, Oklahoma, to Kirby Joseph and Gladys Ilean Johns Cooper. He married Barbara Jean Duckworth in 1966 in Johnson, Kansas.

Lee enjoyed hunting, fishing and hauling hay. He especially enjoyed watching sports and working on cars. He was an auto-mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Russell Cooper; brothers, Joe Cooper and Bob Cooper; and sister, Josephine Fite.

Survivors include his wife of the home; sons, Robin Watts and wife Audrey of Conroe, Texas, and Clay Cooper and wife Tammy of McAlester; daughter, Janet Latini and husband Louis III of Fairfield, California, and Janice Kelly and husband Drake of Louisville, Kentucky; grandchildren, Sarah, Anthony, Aaron, Victoria, Louis IV, Dominic, Carol, Christina, Destiny, Rebecca, Clay II and Dakota; brother, Donald Cooper and wife Louise of Wilburton; sisters, Donna Lecie Cooper of Florida, Betty Woodruff of New York, Helen Aaron and husband Kenneth of Wilburton; nieces and nephews, Nancy Aaron, Jay Aaron, Ilean Tubbs, Betty Heavener, Kenny Aaron and wife Danielle, Donald, and Jr. Bubba Cooper; great-niece, Brianna Cheyenne; cousin, Orville Williamson of California and numerous other family and friends.
