W.E. Dutch Boback, 80, longtime resident of the Keetonville area near Claremore, passed away October 5, 2008. He was born February 21, 1928, at Bokoshe to Rudolph and Gertrude Barnett Boback.

He was raised and educated at Bokoshe and graduated with the Bokoshe High School Class of 1946. He was called to serve his country with the U.S. Navy and served during World War II. After his honorable discharge, he continued his education at Poteau College in Poteau. He was married to Wanda Eidschun on September 1, 1951, in Fort Smith, Arkansas.

Mr. Boback spent most of his working life as a sheet metal mechanic with American Airlines in Tulsa. He enjoyed a variety of pastimes including spending time outdoors working around his home on the tractor or with his cattle. His priority in life was his love for his wife and family.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife of over 57 years of the home; daughter, Pam Boback Self of Owasso; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie and Rhonda Boback of Claremore; and his only grandson, James Edward Self.
