Teddy Ray Billey, 66, of Oklahoma City passed away February 7th of lung cancer. He was born July 24, 1930 in Hickory, Oklahoma to original enrollee, Harrison Billey and Alberta Bertie Bratcher Billey. He attended Jones Academy and graduated from Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas. He then attended East Central University in Ada.

In 1952, he married Geneva Teague of Byng and had four children, Ted Jerome, Steven, Abigail, and Jessica. After serving in the Navy, Ted worked for OG&E and was in Naval Reserves until he retired in 1987. He was active in the church choir and enjoyed volunteering at the Sun Valley Indian School in Arizona. He enjoyed traveling and especially to visit his children, He raised his children to be proud of their Indian Heritage.

All of whom will miss him dearly include; Steven and Leslie Billey of Louisville, Kentucky, Abigail and Scot Frost of Cypress, Texas, Jessica and Scotty Edwards of Beaverton, Oregon. His grandchildren are Joshua Billey of Houston, Texas, (Son of Ted J. Billey), Kelly and Megan Billey of Louisville, Texas and Caroline Frost of Cypress, Texas. He was preceded in death by parents and sister, Myra Kiefer but missed by his loving sisters, Elnora Fullerton and Linda Clark both of Ada, Oklahoma and Louise Whittle of Denton, Texas. Family was important to Ted and he loved his many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was buried on Feb. 11th with military honors at Bethany Cemetery beside his son. He fought a brave fight and will be missed!
