Jamie Denise Motes Bishop, 45, of McAlester, formerly of Ada, passed away March 26, 2009, at a Shawnee hospital. She was born February 25, 1964, at Ada to Paul Motes Sr. and Willena Fountain Motes. She graduated from Ada High School in 1982 where she was a member of the Cougar High School Band. She attended East Central University for three years and the Kiamichi Vo-Tech where she was the president and vice president of the Business Professionals of America from 2005-2006.

She married Bruce Allen Bishop on October 18, 2002, at Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was a cashier for Dollar General Store and a Bingo caller for the Chickasaw Nation for three years.

Survivors include her husband of the home; one daughter, Miranda Kaylee Ball of McAlester; mother, Willena Kay Wiley and husband Ed of Davis; father, Paul Motes Sr. and friend Linda of McAlester; brother, Paul Franklin Motes Jr. of McAlester; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
