Pauline Alsup, affectionately known as Polly passed from this life on February 9, 1995 at Memorial Hospital in Ardmore Oklahoma.

She was born on September 9, 1912 to Gilbert O’Dell and Jessie Lovett O’Dell in Kingston, Oklahoma. Most of her school years were spent in Boswell, Oklahoma but she moved to Madill her senior year and graduated from high school there. She met and married Lee Alsup of Madhill in 1931 and lived the rest of her life in that community.

Polly was a Southern Baptist. She loved the lord and was an Adult Sunday School teacher at the First Baptist Church for many years. She was very proud of her Indian Heritage and instilled that pride in her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother and three grandsons.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Alsup of the home; two daughters, June Jackson of Ardmore Oklahoma and Janet Weldon of Madhill; three grandchildren, Sherry Tilley of Madill, Michael and Cameron Jackson of Ardmore and one brother, Max Taylor of Shawnee Oklahoma and seven great-grandchildren.

She was loved by many and will be missed by all.
