Leroy Anderson, age 68, of Talihina Oklahoma was born on August 13, 1926 at Lennox, Oklahoma. He passed away August 27, 1994 at St. Edwards Medical Center at Fort Smith Arkansas. He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Talihina, Oklahoma and had lived in the Talihina area all of his life.

He had worked for an upholstery shop in McAlester, Oklahoma for a number of years and for the Public Health Services. He is preceded in death by a brother, Johnny Anderson.

He is survived by his wife, Stella Mae Anderson of the home; four daughters and two sons-in-law, Ramona Cummings, Lula and Roy Johnson, Margret Anderson and Judy and Amos Eaton, all of Muskogee Oklahoma; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Hampton Anderson of Muskogee and Gary and Amos Eaton of Pittsburg, Texas; two sisters, Katherine Ward and Bertha Anderson both of Talihina; four grandchildren, Tommy Cummings, Tiffany Cummings, Timothy Cummings all of Muskogee and Cherokee Anderson , Pittsburg; numerous friends and loved ones.

Services were held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church on August 30 at Talihina, Oklahoma.

Rev. Taylor Harjo, Rev. Joe Wilkins and Rev. Billie Nowabbie officiated.

Interment was at New Talihina City Cemetery in Talihina Oklahoma.

Pallbearers were J.D. Ward, Sherman Ward, Adam Whitegate, Eugene Jones, Roy Johnson and Amos Eaton.
