I was told we had Cherokee blood. I have been told it is not Cherokee but Choctaw. It would be from my grandmother. The name I have so far is Cowart. How do I find out if they are on the DAWS rolls.

Looking for information about Helen Maxine Dickson. She had a son – Charles Ray Dickson, that she put up for adoption in 1935 in Oklahoma. Charles’s birth certificate lists Helen Maxine as 1/8 Choctaw.
