Ancestry.com thread dated 10/5/2003 under “Indian Territory Doctors” says the following:
Lawson Webster was listed as a doctor in the Choctaw Nation on the Mormon website. It is rumored he may have been murdered. This is around 1900.

CHOCTAW NATION DAWES ENROLLMENT CARD # 3356:
Choctaw by Blood name, Billy Jones, 69, year 1896 1/2 blood married to Amanda Parsons, 54,
a non citizen, white woman. His kids by a prior marriage were Frank Jones, 13, and Samuel Jones,8. All lived in Jackson County, Indian Territory.
CHOCTAW NATION INTERVIEW 11/14/1903 with
Amanda (Parsons)(Webster) Jones, Age 68, born
in Tennessee, living in Bennington, Indian Territory. Her parents were from Ireland.
First husband was Joshua Webster, now dead.
She lived in Kentucky when husband died, came to Indian Territory with her son Daniel. She married a Choctaw Indian man named Billy Jones on 12/8/1899 in Jackson County, indian Territory. She was the 7th wife of Billy Jones, age 73 in 1903. She was accepted into the Choctaw Nation as an intermarried citizen on 6/21/1904. A letter by her, dated 4/5, 1906
to the Choctaw Nation asked if she could enroll her children, Daniel, Frank and Mary. The answer was NO. She died 2/17/1917 in Bentley, Atoka, Oklahoma which is 50 miles south of McAlester, Pittsburg, Oklahoma where
some of her children lived or once lived.
