Hello, I’m looking for any information about David Lewis Anchahubbi, my grandfather. His Dawes Roll Book Number was #4486. I have a photocopy of the actual page from the Dawes Roll Book. The page indicates the Residence as ‘Kiamitia County (I understand that count has since been re-named). The Post Office is originally identified as what appears to be Hamston I.T. (Indian Territory) but is struck out and ’Hamden’ is written beneath. The ‘Card No’ field is blank but the Field No field says ‘1585’. The form identifies the family as follows: 4485 Fulsom[Folsome], Ellis, Age 19, Sex M, Blood Full, Tribal Enrollment: Year 1896, County Kiamitia No. 4253 Tribal Enrollment of Parents: Name of Father: Jacob Fulsom, Year Dead, County Blank, Name of Mother: Isabelle[Isabella] Fulsom, Year Dead, County Kiamitia. <> 4486 Anchahubbi, David, Relationship to Person first named Bro, Age 14, Sex M, Blood Full Tribal Enrollment: Year 1896, County Kiamitia No. 357 Tribal Enrollment of Parents: Name of Father: Louis Anchahubbi, Year Dead, County Blank, Name of Mother: Isabelle[Isabella] Fulsom, Year Dead, County Kiamitia. <>4487 Anchahubbi, Aaron, Relationship to Person first named Bro, Age 11, Sex M, Blood Full Tribal Enrollment: Year 1896, County Kiamitia No. 358 Tribal Enrollment of Parents: Name of Father: Louis Anchahubbi, Year Dead, County Blank, Name of Mother: Isabelle[Isabella] Fulsom, Year Dead, County Kiamitia.<>4488 Anchahubbi, Sampson Relationship to Person first named Bro, Age 5, Sex M, Blood Full Tribal Enrollment: Year 1896, County Kiamitia No. 359 Tribal Enrollment of Parents: Name of Father: Louis Anchahubbi, Year Dead, County Blank, Name of Mother: Isabelle[Isabella] Fulsom, Year Dead, County Kiamitia. There are two stamps on the document 1 Date of Application 05/10/1899 and 2) Enrollment of Nos 1 (Ellis Fulsom) 2 (David Anchahubbi) 3 (Aaron Anchahubbi) and 4 (Sampson Anchahubbi) Hereon approved by the Secretary of the Interior Dec(ember) 12,1902. I have an approximate birthdate for David of November 19, 1895 or 1896. David was married numerous times. I’ll have to elaborate on that more as I can sort that information out. David died on October 15, 1950, possibly of Tuberculosis in Oklahoma (city unknown). He is buried in Franklin Cemetery. Any information, epsecially about land holdings, would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

i don’t know a lot about land holdings. i would think that the tribe would know more about the initial allotment of land.

certainly contact the county land department which would have any transfers of land.

this might help you or might not.

there may have been probate in county court and/or tribal court.

Thank you so much for the information. This should keep me busy for awhile. I have made some progress through my local library and FamilySearch.org. I will post the details when I have more time.

the dawes packet is available here or through NARA http://www.archives.gov fort worth, TX office.

yes, all we need is stuff to keep us busy.
but you can pass this on to the rest of your family. one of my friends said that her mother put together a book of documents showing genealogical information and my friend cried, it meant so much to her.
