Hi I am trying to obtain the original state certified full image birth cert. or death cert. for each person in my lineage back to the enrollee. How do I do this? How much is the cost. Looking for any help or information.

usually heirloom certificates are easier to get. people use the certified certificates for the purposes of identification.

the cost will vary state by state.
google search (state) vital records and choose the state’s office on the first page.

You won’t find any Oklahoma state certified birth records prior to statehood, 1907. The Dawes Rolls were completed before that. Other states…maybe. Suzanne is right about checking each state.

I found a lot of Choctaw birth certificates in the Dawes files at Footnote.com.

be sure and ask for delayed birth certificates in addition to a birth certificate because they are filed chronologically.

so, when people applied for social security 1/1/1937, they submitted either a delayed birth certificate or a birth certificate to prove age.

yes, many native birth records are in the dawes roll packet if they were born 1890-1907.
