Looking for help proving Indian Heritage for my husband. He was born April 7, 1970 at the PHS Indian Hospital in Talihina, Ok and was adopted out to a family that lived in Prague, Ok. We have not had any luck getting his “unamended” birth certificate from the County where his adoption was finalized. I would love any help on how we can get this information. We have four children and would really love to get this information so they can become members of their tribe!

you should write to the state adoption coordinator and ask about post-adoption services. you should also check with the tribe. you can tell them that there is information about heritage that you need.
