there is a problem with this post. i don’t know whether you are looking for peter tripp or sidney earnest frazier.
gordon lee frazier was your grandfather but there is no date or place of birth, no date of death/place of death, no spouse name.

genealogists use names, dates, locations, children and spouses to match records. if you have a common surname, you need to give more information rather than less. if you post about women, it is helpful to include the maiden name and the married name and designate which one is the maiden name.

first of all, heritage and tribal enrollment are two different things. many times natives didn’t apply for enrollment because 1) they didn’t qualify, 2) they were philosophically opposed to enrollment, 3) they didn’t have documentation, or 4) they were mississippi choctaw and their ancestor had accepted land or benefits in lieu of tribal enrollment.

the dawes roll was taken 1896-1906, so you should trace your ancestors down to that time period. mostly, they had to be living in oklahoma by that time and agree to live there permanently.

My apologies for the confusion. I am Peter Tripp. I have found that one of my maternal great grandfathers was named Sidney Earnest Frazier. I have no idea and no living relatives which I have found as of yet to get a wife/spouse’s name for him. I also have no birth/death/christening records to go by as of yet. Sidney Earnest Frazier had several children. Some of which were Freeman, Sherman, and Gordon Lee Frazier(G. L. Frazier was my maternal grandfather). I have come up against a wall here. My paternal grandmother was fortunate enough NOT to be on the Trail of Tears due to her marriage. I am not sure of anything with my maternal FRAZIER family. My grandfather was never while living able to find any birth record for himself. He never was sure where he was from neither did Freeman or Sherman. I may be looking in the wrong place completely. However, thank you for your efforts.

I just received some information about my Great Grandfather(Sidney Earnest Frazier. Born 1888. Married 1905. Died 1942) I am still trying to find out who my great grandmother was and whom were the parents of these great grandparents

start with what you know, collect documentation and then go backward in time.
so get your birth certificate, your parents birth certificates and marriage license and then you can go backward in time to your grandfather.
also, since you have sidney frazier’s dates now, b. 1888 d. 1942, you can get a copy of his social security application, which would list locations, dates, spouse and parents.

he would have a world war I draft card too, if you knew where he was living 1917 or so.

you don’t have the children’s dates or birthplaces.
often when you don’t have much information on the children, it means you should go back to that generation and gather some. childrens’ documents point to the parents, fix the family to a location and date.
