My great grand mother Myrtle Beaver married Perry Lovin. Rumor has it that Perry Lovin has Cherokee blood, I cannot find no information on Perry, can somebody point me in the right direction.

perry’s family was not living in OK by 1900, a requirement of several tribes. it appears to me that if perry was native, he was more likely mississippi choctaw because of the birthplaces of the parents.

since he is a hired man in 1910 and not owning a farm in 1910, that indicates he wasn’t a member of one of the five major tribes of oklahoma.
