the correct way of spelling....

have been doing some intense research in my choctaw dictionary and discovered something….
my grandmother’s name is NOT spelled aiahnichih ohoyo…it is spelled AIAHNINCHI ohoyo…or ‘respected, favored woman’…would like to know if this is correct…if so, i apologize for perpetuating the incorrect usage…

when names are transliterated, various spellings are produced. the choctaw language was an oral tradition until some people started a written form in the mid 1800s.
