I have some of the info you sent me. Here is what I have. My grandfather was Clifton Mcgown Bennett m/ Gladys Blackmon. His father was Pryor Bennett m/ Wilfrada (Sallie) Mitchell,His father was Benjamin Franlkin Bennett m/Mary Jane Mitchell, also was m/ to Rachel Mayfield. His father is believed to be James Pryor Bennett born in Georgia died in Mississippi who was married to Nancy Evans Her farther was Thomas Evans: Children William Bennett, James Bennett, Aquilla Bennett, Taylor Bennett m/ Nancy Myrick, Rebecca Bennett, and Benjamin Franklin Bennett who is my great great great grandfather. All of my dads uncles have very strong Indian features down to the color of their skin. trying to find the connection, I have been told by many of the elders in the family that Benjamin F Bennett married Cheif Pushmataha’s daughter, searching for any info on the Indian side of my Family.
