i don’t think you need a birth certificate for the original enrollees.

btw, there were others who were known as john null also. so make sure it is your john null.

so you have to have a clear paper trail to the john null who was an original enrollee of the tribe.

this gives the phone # for the department that handles membership applications.

it is a two step process, CDIB card and then tribal membership.

thank you so much for your time! I re-read the paperwork and it states: “it appears from our records that on Sept 26,1898, John Null was listed for enrollemnt as a citizen by blood of the Choctaw Nation, having been identified from the 1896 Choctaw Census Roll, Chickasaw District, as number 8698.” This document is from J.P. Reirdon, Hadill, Indian Territory- Muskogee, Indian Territory Sept 23, 1902. (on the top of the document there was “Choctaw 284”). Gguess that’s where I got that number. sorry.
