Seeking information on the marriage date & location of Orville Eugene James and Mary Marshall. Their first son, Orville Eugene “Sonny” James was born in 1939 at Fort Apache County, Arizona but it has been verified with the county there that they were not married there.

an obituary might have this information. his social security application would have that information.

no other children listed in this post.

have you found them on census records? i don’t know when either of them were born or where, so it is difficult for me to find them.

Have his and her obit. Neither mention the marriage info. Didn’t think of the social security application . . . can we still get that or has it become restricted in Post-911 world? Privacy Act and all.

Just to close the loop on this query. My sister discovered when & where Orville and Mary (Marshall) James were married. July 19, 1936 in Holbrook, Navajo County, New Mexico.

I made a typo, sorry. That marriage was in Arizona; not New Mexico.
