Looking for information about Helen Maxine Dickson. She had a son – Charles Ray Dickson, that she put up for adoption in 1935 in Oklahoma. Charles’s birth certificate lists Helen Maxine as 1/8 Choctaw.

My grandfather was George (Washington) Long we think he is Choctaw or Cherokee , We think he has a Choctaw Roll # 1418, Our great grandmother Sarah Angeline Townsend she worked with the natives alot and we were told she helped signed one of the 1st peace treaties.

My daughter is in need of affordable housing for a family of 5. She lives in SW Kansas but due to health issues needs to move closer to us in NE Kansas. Potawatomie Reservation is very close to our location. Are there any Choctaw housing benefits available through that reservation?
