Looking for my great-grandma's information

Hello. I am searching for any records for my great-grandmother, Dorcas L Miller, born October 1855. She was married to, Samuel Kinsey. It is my understanding that she was full-blooded Choctaw. My grandfather, Samuel, became a citizen in 1896. He was 1/16 Choctaw. The settled in Oklahoma, Muskogee, then I believe Sallisaw, OK. Any family information or geneology would be helpful.

Thank you!

dorcas l. miller b. 10/1855 m. samuel kinsey
samuel kinsey

kinsey might be kinzey or another variation in records.

i don’t know if this is your family. while samuel matches, the parents’ names don’t match.

he said he’s a mixed blood choctaw, rock driller for a mine. the page is a little hard to read, but maybe you can make it out.

on an ancestry family tree, it says that daughter minnie has dorcas l. miller and james asberry kinsey. alice, emma lou, lillie, dock and john were also children of those parents. they were b. GA.

as far as locations, genealogists refer to the county rather than the city, because the county usually keeps records.
