    Dress_Revised

I have a modern look for a traditional little girl dress, by taking the traditional diamond pattern and adding it to a bandana dress. I also make rag quilts along more traditional quilts. Also I make diaper wipe cases, along pacifier clips, and stuffed animals for babies, along with other items for the baby. I make dog bandanas.

For several years, I have been performing as a Native American storyteller in the St. Louis area, focusing on traditional stories. Tim Tingle has been working as my mentor through this time, and continues to do so. I have performed in a variety of settings and to a variety of groups, including the Choctaw Storytelling Festival, the International Institute of St Louis’ Festival of Nations, Kindercare (pre-school), Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops, as well as others.

I have been making regalia for many years, primarily I have made Choctaw dress and Cherokee Tear dresses (which can be seen in the photo). As well I make hand-fringed dance shawls and beadwork including collars, rosettes and barrettes.

  • Wayverly Mouse-Evangelista

Description: I can sew just about anything. From baby shoes and clothing to adult clothing and blankets to everything in between. I can also do beading, i shy away from medallions and bigger pieces. I just dont have the attention span required for such a big piece. I do some basket weaving work. I do alot of designing in my jewelry, clothing, and accessories items. Custom work is always welcome as long as its something I know how to do.
