The Social Services Program processes the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) assistance grant payments as a secondary resource to the needy of a federally recognized tribe. Clients must reside within the boundaries of the Choctaw Nation and meet other eligibility requirements as to income resources and other criteria required by the federal regulations.

One-time emergency disaster assistance is also available under this program to persons who suffer a major loss to their home as the result of a natural or man-made disaster, if not protected by insurance.
