Vocational Rehabilitation Program

The Vocational Rehabilitation Program offers services that will assist disabled Native Americans to obtain their goal of vocational training and gainful employment.br>Persons with the most severe disabilities will be given priority and assisted first.
Eligibility requirements for applicants include:
1. Must have CDIB card of a federally recognized Indian tribe.
2. Must live within the 10 1/2 counties of the Choctaw Nation.
3. Must have a documented physical or mental disability which results in a substantial impediment to employment.

Services include counseling and guidance, training, job coaching, placement in suitable employment, assistive devices and other goods and services that can be reqasonable expected to benefit an individual with a disability in terms of employment.
Funding available through the Department of Education Rehabilitation Services and Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
