The Historic Preservation Department of the Choctaw Nation has a mission to preserve and protect ancestral remains, sacred lands and sacred objects under Native American Grave Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) for today and future generations.

Anyone with information concerning Choctaw remains, Choctaw artifacts or Choctaw cemeteries in danger of being destroyed or abandoned is encouraged to contact this office.
